A Ministry for Every Church Woman

All women of St. Philip's are members of St. Philip's ECW (Every Church Woman). Its leadership is composed of an elected executive committee, directors, and ad hoc committees.

The chief goal of the ECW is to promote Christian fellowship and growth for all women of St. Philip's through Bible studies, dinners with guest speakers, and service opportunities.

The ECW is an arm of hospitality and outreach for all St. Philippians. It is responsible for hosting the Bishop's receptions for the fall and spring confirmands and all receptions for clergy. This organization coordinates other receptions as requested and works closely with the kitchen committee. The ECW also heads up the annual Tea Room, recruiting many, many volunteers of all ages to help run this week-long event!

The ECW Executive Board usually meets the second Tuesday of each month. All women of St. Philip's are invited to attend these meetings to learn about our ministry and help plan while enjoying coffee and fellowship.

Opportunities To Serve

Discover meaningful ways to serve and grow with other women as we use our gifts to encourage, support, and build up the body of Christ through various ministry opportunities.

The Women of St. Philip's ECW assists with decorating the church for Christmas in conjunction with the Flower Guild.

The Compassion Committee of the Women of St. Philip's ECW provides and delivers meals for the sick and for bereaved families. It sends notes of encouragement and prayer to those in need. Please contact Alice Smith at the church (843-722-7734) if you know of a need in this area.

The New Moms Committee delivers meals to new mothers and fathers, who always appreciate any break they can get!
